REDS Incident Response Services
Incident response has been a core part of REDS’ services from its inception. Since 2017, we have supported clients across the UK in managing the environmental and operational risks associated with fuel and hazardous-material incidents. We manage spills of all scales, from smaller losses to complex industrial incidents involving hazardous or polluting substances. Supported by our in-house Environmental Consultants, we deliver complete end-to-end support including reporting, environmental risk assessment, investigation, remediation and monitoring.
The types of spills we respond to
- Fuel spills from forecourts, bulk storage facilities and distribution depots
- Oil and diesel releases during transfer or delivery
- Pipeline and infrastructure failures
- Overfills and tank breaches
- Contaminated surface water and drainage incidents
- Hazardous material spills impacting soil and groundwater

Report
We provide rapid support to ensure spills are reported correctly and in line with regulatory requirements. Our team helps manage notifications to the relevant authorities, reducing risk and uncertainty during a critical incident.

Why experience matters in incident response
Incident response is not simply about clean-up. It requires technical understanding of fuel systems, drainage networks, contaminated land and regulatory frameworks. Decisions made in the first few hours can significantly influence environmental impact, remediation costs and reputational risk.
Our team combine hands-on site capability with in-house environmental consultancy expertise. This means we can assess immediate risks, develop appropriate remediation strategies and engage effectively with regulators from day one, ensuring the right actions are taken at the right time.
